UPP presidential campaign begins in Owerri on Jan. 21





The United Progressive Party (UPP) presidential campaign will start in Owerri on Jan. 21...


 according to a statement. The Chairman of the party’s Campaign Organization, Mr Flint Obiekwe issued the statement on Monday in Abuja. The statement quoted Obiekwe as saying party members and supporters would converge at NUC FAM Entertainment Centre, Onitsha Road, Owerri, by 10 a.m. for the rally. According to the statement, the party said it is determined to produce the first executive president of Igbo extraction in Nigeria, adding that “UPP Presidential Candidate, Chekwas Okorie, will point the way forward for a new Nigeria.” The rally will also see the presentation of the party flag to Mr Osmond Ukanacho, the UPP Governorship Candidate in Imo. “It is time for revolutionary leadership in our quest to building a strong, virile and prosperous democratic nation,” he added.
